I’m not really a Jon Snow of the make-up world—I know something!
I categorize products under two heads:
a) It’s not you, it’s me!—Need pro level make-up wizardry to make the product work like Insta-Gurus demonstrate, effortlessly.
b) Shows fabulous results even with my okay-ish make-up application skills.
Option B products are treasures that must be shared with fellow make-up muggles.
The NYX Professional Makeup Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette comes with 8 different blushes. That’s a lot of choices in one sleek palette. It’s a simple plastic case without any fringes. The best part about this palette is the variety of shades that make it quite versatile. I’ve used the top two shimmery shades as a highlighter as well as on the inner corner of the eyes for a brightening effect. Also, the colors can be very well used as eye shadows because of its pigmentation.
I prefer using matte blushes more than the shimmer ones. The first colour in the bottom row is an absolute favorite of mine. It’s a perfect day-wear blush that gives a natural flush to the cheeks. Also it’s the most non-intimidating & easily buildable shade. I wish NYX had given names to these blushes. Nonetheless, I am absolutely loving this colour play.
This isn’t exactly a budget buy but if you have plans to experiment with make-up, it’s a good investment.
PROS:
- Palette is a beautiful mix of mattes and shimmers
- Pigmented shades
- Versatility—The shimmer shades can be used as highlighters as well and the mattes will work beautifully as an eye-shadow.
- Price range—You’ll be paying less than Rs. 200 for each blush.
CONS:
- There’s no mirror on the palette.
You can easily buy it from Nykaa.

Thanks for this candid & balanced review. Rs 200/- for one blush works out to be quite reasonable.

I love reading about make up and like your in depth analysis of the blush palette. But what if you only like one shade? Isn’t this a sheer waste then?
